    Enjoy an eco-friendly sailing experience on crystal clear waters in pure comfort on our stylish 53ft Catamaran. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the lake’s remarkable coastline and immerse yourself in Taupo’s history and culture while listening to the onboard commentary. Tiua brings smooth sailing to effortless entertaining, as a high-end charter vessel. She blends her original character and style with the latest comfort and class. Featuring a spacious saloon, covered cockpit, NZ timber panelling, 3 illuminated cabins, Tiua is a luxury 53ft long sailing catamaran. She is fully equipped for enjoyment, comfort and safety. The large main cockpit table folds together to comfortably seat 10 for entertaining and dining. Tiua is suitable for all weather sailing, making her a great choice to visit the Māori Rock Carvings in any weather.

  • People failing to show up for check in will not be refunded.
  • In the event of quickly changing bad weather and lake conditions, it may not be possible to view the Maori Rock Carvings, this decision is made at the discretion of the skipper for the health and safety of all on board the vessel
  • Please let us know in advance if you have medical issues. The skipper has the last call on check in to decide if the trip is suitable regarding medical issues due to health and safety regulations.

Perfect afternoon.

Excellent trip with friendly crew that gave an informative chat about the lake, carvings and surrounding landscape. Nice to have time to swim in the lake also and with a bar onboard a perfect afternoon.

Booked at last minute and the weather turned in the afternoon. Had the option for refund or rebook but went anyway. Lake taupo is stunning and always good to be on the water. Crew were good people and made the experience great fun despite inclement weather. The carvings are amazing and they do a great job of explaining the history and some information on the area. Don't miss this tour its an excellent way to relax on Lake tqupo.

This was sooo much fun and the guys on board were Great hosts. We had a spot of bad weather but they were great about warning us and moving around the rain as much as possible, plus helped us shuffle in and out of cover to enjoy the open air and then hide back inside when the rain came. Definitely recommend taking a dip in the water - it was unbelievably warm even though it was a bit chilly in the open air.

With great weather you are getting an unforgettable experience! Do it!

Lucked out with the weather. It was a spectacular experience. With the sunset and the Māori rock, the warm water of the lake this trip is definitely a must. No idea how would it be if the weather was different … The captain was super experienced, great and informative as a guide. Thank You Dave!
