Overview

On our Secret Indian Food Tour: East London, you'll enjoy a variety of authentic Indian foods. You'll discover and taste exciting curries, flavoursome dishes, try Indian sweets and learn about spices and Indian and South Asian cuisine. This tour is for all tastes (some mild, and some more spicy), whether you are a seasoned curry fan or new to this type of food and need an introduction to the varied tastes.     A public art gallery in Aldgate, being positioned near Whitechapel on the north side of Whitechapel High Street, in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets in the East End of London and Central London.

  • Brick Lane (Pass By)

    A street in the East End of London, in the Borough of Tower Hamlets. Today, it is the heart of the city's Bangladeshi community and is known to some as Banglatown. It is famous for its many curry houses.

  • Liverpool Street Station (Pass By)

    Also known as London Liverpool Street, is a central London railway terminus and connected London Underground station in the north-eastern corner of the City of London, in the ward of Bishopsgate.

  • Old Spitalfields Market (Pass By)

    Built in 1876, it is one of the finest surviving Victorian Market Halls in the capital. It is now a premier London attraction offering an impressive array of art, fashion, gifts, antiques and food outlets via its market stalls, shops and restaurants.

Excellent food tour!

What an amazing food tour that we had with Jai. He was fun and informative, we learned so much about Indian food culture. The area and restaurants we visited were something we would have never done on our own. The food was fantastic and plentiful, absolutely delicious. Jai taught us about the spices and flavors used and actually had a typical Indian spice box for us to smell the spices that are used in cooking. He was sent a great follow up email with detailed information and additional recommended restaurants. He even shared a recipe for us to try at home. Highly recommend!

Jai was a fantastic guide and the food was wonderful. I also learned a lot about the history of the southeast Asian diaspora which was very interesting.

Riki is amazing. He loves what he does and his previous experience as a cook really shows. Enjoy this tour as it is a 3 hours truly immersive experience to Indian cuisine.

Riki is absolutely amazing.He went above and beyond making sure that I had the best tour experience. He even brought me to a market to show me a variety of spices and ingredients. I had the absolute best Indian food in London and even got to sample some delicious desserts. My favorite part was when Riki showed his favorite spice collection and told me about natural remedies that can be created using each spice. Riki even walked me to the tube station at the end of the tour and made sure that I got on the correct train. Riki is fantastic and I highly recommend this tour!
