Overview

Discover stunning views of London with Up at The O2. Experience the thrill of climbing the world famous roof of The O2 and take in panoramic views over London’s most iconic skyline at the summit, 52 metres above ground level. The whole experience is approximately 90 minutes. Upon arrival, you will be given briefing instructions and safety equipment to kit up in. The expert guides will take the lead and share some interesting facts about the venue’s unique architecture as well as its famous visitors. Once you reach the viewing platform, enjoy the breath-taking 360-degree views of London like you’ve never seen before. Climb the roof during the day. When it’s clear, you can see landmarks up to 15 miles away, from historic Greenwich and the Olympic Park to Canary Wharf.

    At The O2 the action doesn’t just happen on stage, it also happens on the roof. Up at The O2 is a 90-minute experience you won’t forget. Zip up your climb suit. Pull on your boots. Hook up your harness. Then make your way up the south face of one of the most striking buildings in London’s skyline. Leading the way will be one of our friendly climb guides. They know all sorts of interesting facts about The O2, from its unique architecture to its famous visitors. So feel free to ask questions as you climb. At the summit, you’ll be standing 52 metres above the legendary arena, with 360-degree views across this historic part of London beside the River Thames. Ready to experience something out of the ordinary?

We did this for our birthdays (same day) and quite honestly was awesome, easier than I thought too. I'm not fit (only walk to my coffee machine or car!) and whilst the ascent is hard work, you can go at your own pace. Coming back down whilst needing less effort was harder, many walked backwards as my wife did because her toes hurt going down forwards in her trainers. They supply trainers if your footwear isn't ideal, harness and a tabard if needed. We got lucky and had blue skies, even in early March it was warm at 1pm so didn't go up in jackets, yes it's a bit windy up there but the effort going up might make you sweat a little! Big shout to "Karl with a K" who was a perfect guide, there was a lady too but didn't get a chance to talk to, but Karl seemed to love it as much as we did and enthusiastic and funny (and professional) at the same time. If you're thinking of booking this, don't hesitate, it's not that hard and the views are amazing.

karl was absolutely incredible! friendliest member of staff you’ll ever meet at the o2. he chatted to us about our concert the night before, and was so nice. he taught us so many facts about the dome, and its history, and the surrounding area. aswell as answering all our questions and pointing out some really cool things to see. would definitely recommend this experience and karl needs a pay rise !

Climbing the O2 was a great experience Well organised and a great team of staff felt very safe throughout the whole climb. Would recommend doing this. Beautiful sunny day so the views of London were perfect.
