Overview

Get a comprehensive tour of the island of Puerto Rico during a single outing from San Juan. Spend the day in the company of a guide who will follow a carefully curated itinerary that includes many points of interest that typical tours don't cover. You'll see many of the island's historical and natural features, including caves, drive by local beaches, waterfalls, and listen to in-depth historical commentary about the culture and folklore. Itinerary

  • San Juan

    Driver/Guide will offer live commentary about the historic 500-year-old city and the importance of the fortifications, including Castillo San Felipe del Morro. Travelers will have the opportunity to get out, walk around and take pictures. Although, there's no time to visit the fort. Entrance fee to the fort is *Not* included.

  • The Capitol of Puerto Rico

    Travelers will be introduced to our history and our three ethnic races through Jose Buscaglia's "Altar de la Patria". You'll also learn how we became a US Territory and you'll have to opportunity to take pictures of the Presidential Monuments, Holocaust Memorial and our Memorial Wall.

  • Playa Pinones

    You'll have the opportunity to taste some of our finest authentic food. Lunch is at your expense. As we drive out you'll be able to see the local beaches such as Pozita de Pinones and Vacia Talega.

  • Parque Historico Cueva Maria de la Cruz

    Participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Afro Caribbean descent of our race by learning about the music, folklore and one of three geomorphological regions.

  • Catarata La Coca

    At an elevation of 1, 476 feet (450 meters) above sea level, La Coca Falls is a spectacular waterfall! The waters of La Coca Falls drop 85 feet (26 meters) onto a huge rock formation at the bottom of the falls. This is an excellent spot to take photos.

  • Torre Yokahu

    Four types of the forest can be viewed from Yokahú Tower: Colorado (smooth to the south), Tabonuco (irregular surrounding with white-leaved Yagrumos), Palm (on the steep slopes) and Cloud Forest (on the ridges) are all visible along with the coastline and all the way to the Virgin Islands on a clear day (10 mile + view).

A friendly and informative tour!!

We were a couple, along with a family of five. Our day began with a slight hiccup as there were rolling road closures in the Condado and Old town area due to a road race marathon and its final leg into town. However, with a great attitude and willingness to rise above the bumps and find the fun, our day was absolutely wonderful! So much more than your usual tour, Ali provides history, passion, education, a great food stop for local flavors! The civic education and the travel to El Yunque were lovely. More than we could have expected or anticipated! Thank you for a wonderful day!

Hector was a fantastic tour guide. He took us to the jungles, a waterfall, and a fantastic tower to climb, overlooking the tropical rainforest. He was extremely knowledgeable and we enjoyed him very much. I would certainly ask for him again if we ever did another tour in San Juan.

Lovely tour around parts of San Juan area! Ivan went above and beyond when I left my expensive sunglasses in the bus and drove back on his time off to drop them off!
