Itinerary

Karya

We navigate through the lush greenery of the Plateau of Karya. Enjoy the serene atmosphere, surrounded by olive groves, vineyards, and herds of ships and goats. The area of the plateau is a hidden gem of Lefkada as it is located in the heart of the island. On an e-Fat Bike tour, we start riding through the picturesque village of Karya, while you immerse yourself in the traditional Greek culture. Karya, is a charming mountain village known for its traditional architecture and warm hospitality. As we ride through the narrow streets on our e-Fat Bikes, you will be captivated by the beauty of the stone houses and the colorful flowers adorning the balconies. On the way back to Karya, at the end of the tour, you will have a chance to do take a seat at one of the local cafes and enjoy a cup of Greek coffee, a glass of wine, and enjoy a tapas (included), while soaking in the peaceful atmosphere of the old central square of the village.

The wonderful mountain Englouvi village is a great spot for a stop after the uphill cycling. The huge plane trees give a refreshing shadow at the main square where we will have a rest.

Vafkeri

Continuing your journey, you'll arrive in the peaceful village of Vafkeri. This hidden gem is nestled in the mountains, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Take a break and let's make a short stop at the main square of the village and take some nice pictures.

Alexandros

Then we head up to the village of Alexandros. As we ride through the rolling hills, take in the scenic beauty and capture the essence of the countryside. Alexandros offers another opportunity to connect with the local culture. The village was completely evacuated in the 50s, until a couple of decades ago, when redevelopment started taking over again, making Alexandros an attractive area for those who wanted to build a property and sense the real tranquillity of Lefkada. Alexandros has a traditional ruined olive oil mill that has been operating for over a century. On our e-Fat Bike tour, you can visit the mill and shoot some amazing pictures.

Karya

While not directly on the plateau, a detour to the Agios Ioannis Monastery is worth it. On our e-Fat Bike tour, we will take a moment to soak in the tranquillity and enjoy the serenity of this sacred place. Then we will ride up to the monastery and explore its ancient frescoes, we will also enjoy the mountain views, visit the monastery, and take in the spiritual ambience. Agios Ioannis Monastery is a historic monastery located on the central part of Lefkada. It is perched on top of a hill, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area.

A must do visit to the mountain area to have the full experience of Lefkada

A wonderful ride through the mountain villages. George is passionate about the area and has so much to share. The bikes are fantastic, easy to ride, even up the hills. The stops are perfectly timed to just before you think you need them. The visit to the monastery is well worth the ride. Highly recommend George and the tour.

The trip was fantastic! If you like to discover the Island from a real way, you must do it! Lefkada has not only fantastic beaches but It has beauliful old villages in the mountains too and we could discover it on this tour. This trip is not only about cycling but as well tasting, listening and watching lovley landscapes!

George is an excellent tour guide! He did a great job making sure everyone was comfortable and safe. This tour really gets you off the beaten path. You visit very small traditional villages and experience Greek life. I highly recommend this tour and would do it again if in the area!

An exhilarating way to spend an afternoon exploring central Lefkada

We spent a wonderful afternoon with George and 2 other couples. It was our first time on e bikes so I was quite nervous. George gave a full safety briefing so I felt confident at the start of the ride. We saw wonderful mountainous scenery and the highlight was the visit to the monastery. Lots of culture and George was great with local and national history we came away very informed. George is a great communicator, speaks very good English and has great patience with those finding the cycling a bit of a challenge. The bikes themselves are great to ride and so much fun. We highly recommend this trip.
