    The Aragonese Castle is a castle from the medieval ages, it is in the middle of the sea and connected to Ischia Ponte through a bridge. Its strategic position was perfect to defend the island from the attacks of enemies. Today it is a landmark of Ischia, a lovely place to take in the beauty of the island.

  • Monte Epomeo (Pass By)

    Mount Epomeo is the highest point of the island. It is made of volcanic stone, and full of vegetation and greenery, for this reason Ischia is known by the nickname “Isola Verde”, green island.

  • Belvedere di Serrara (Pass By)

    Serrara Fontana is the highest town of Ischia. From here you ca enjoy a 360º view of the Bay of Naples, island of Capri and Mediterranean Sea.

  • Chiesa del Soccorso (Pass By)

    The church of Soccorso is a white church overlooking the sea and is considered the symbol of Forio and Ischia.

  • Museo Civico del Torrione (Pass By)

    The tower of Torrione is a medieval tower positioned to defend the island from attackers. Today it is a cultural and historical museum and a landmark of Ischia.

  • Fungo Di Lacco Ameno (Pass By)

    Lacco Ameno is a tiny town right under Mount Epomeo, and it is full of tuff stones and volcanic stones, in fact “Lacco” in greek “lakkos” means “stone”. Here you can find a mushroom-shaped rock, the "Fungo", sculpted by the wind and the waves of the sea.

We had the most beautiful day in Ischia with Carla!

We had the most beautiful day in Ischia with Carla! She was amazing—as a local, she showed us hidden, non-touristy spots and even helped us find some long-lost relatives on the island. What an incredible experience! Having a driver at our disposal really maximized our time on this beautiful island. You might not know, but Ischia is one of the largest islands in Italy, so if you only have one day to visit, having a driver or at least a car is essential.

Must see island when in Amalfi- don’t miss it!

This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Amalfi. We took the ferry from Sorrento to Ischia to be greeted upon arrival by Marianna. She showed us her beautiful island and spoke about the history and culture with such pride and enthusiasm. The pace was perfect as I was with my Godmother who has a bit of trouble walking. We stopped for a gelato (baba and fig and walnut were great recommendations for flavors to try). We had an incredible lunch overlooking the sea with our guide and got to know her a bit more personally which was so nice. If you are going to Amalfi, do not miss this amazing island. It is so worth the visit and there is no better ambassador than Marianna. If you can spend more than one day, book an overnight at Mezzatorre Hotel and Thermal Spa! Bellisimo!

The tour operator provided us with all the necessary information to make the journey from Sorrento to Ischia, guiding us every step of the way. Our guide exceeded all expectations. This tour was wonderful! Our tour guide, Carolina, was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. She went out of her way to ensure we had a unique and most fulfilling experience. We got to see the entire island and learn the history and culture of the area while also incorporating specific things we wanted to do/see.
