Cruise to the top of 500 meter high sand dunes and go rocketing down the slopes in a sand buggy. Let go of your fears and sandboard down the steep sandy slopes with a few pointers from your local guide. You walk out to the desert where there are a ton of dune buggies just waiting. Your driver will then take you on an exhilarating ride through the dunes. That's followed by some time sandboarding down the dunes at pretty impressive speeds. Our driver even stopped so that we could watch the sunset before heading back. We booked with Arenas.

This is a must for thrill seekers! I thought it would be scary to do the sand boarding but you can go down on your stomach. It was a blast!

Lots of fun with multiple opportunities to Sandboard with the sunset it was an idyllic setting and a fun way to spend a couple hours. You are in a Buggy of about 12. However you can book this with your hostel for much cheaper as I found out later.
