Overview

Venture into the Oasis of America, explore the incredible dunes, embark on this experience and release adrenaline on this natural roller coaster. The time is 2 hours of adventure in the early evening at 4:00 pm. With all the security tools that will make your experience safe and reliable. The sandboard sliding off the stunning dunes, you will do it in different dunes. The guide will be at your disposal all this time. The sunsets in Ica is unique, your photographs will be evidence of your unforgettable experience. In this experience, you should be prepared with light clothing for activity, sun protection, sunglasses (optional) A unique and different experience awaits you! (Public holidays and Easter, due to traveler demand, will change the experience to 1 hour) Approximate dates at the end of March, the end of July, Christmas and the end of the year.

Itinerary

  • La Casa de Bamboo

    This is our meeting and waiting room. You can use the bathrooms and prepare to start the experience at 4:00 pm, as we recommend all our travelers arrive 15 minutes before starting to be on time. When starting to walk towards the Huacachina lagoon, at this point travelers buy tickets for the tourist tax S/ 3.60 soles. You can also take advantage of this time to buy protection items for your adventure (optional).

  • Laguna De Huacachina

    This adventure lasts 2 hours. We started by climbing a small dune to board the Buggys. The guide will tell you everything you should take into account in your experience. It will be at your disposal the entire time of this adventure. We will go on this natural roller coaster, where you will experience fun and pure adrenaline. Then, you will sanboard several times in a safe and fun way. The guide will teach you how to do it. This adventure is unique because of the sunsets in Ica, it is unique and wonderful. Your photographs will be evidence of your unforgettable experience. (Between summer and autumn, the sunset is a little late, therefore, we are leaving between 4:30 pm. We still recommend being at the proposed time, to arrive calmly to this activity. Don't worry, this is not affects the time of the experience.)

Buggy adventure

Unfortunately we had to Cancel, however Kevin allowed for a full refund. We had a miscommunication, but resolved together and I would recommend him and his place even though we didn’t get to take his experience.

Incredible experience

The tour was simply excellent! From riding the buggies to doing sand boarding and watching and incredible sunset, it's one of those days that I'll never forget. Thank you Kevin!

Fantastic experience for the price! We bought through Viator before we came to Peru and the whole things was seamless. Kevin contacted me on the day to arrange pickup and the actual experience was fantastic We left Huacachina at 4pm and heading into the desert to spend 2 and a bit hours of adventuring around the giant dunes in the desert and the option to surf l down a dune or two on a wooden bodyboard! I mean how could I say no to that! Our driver was amazing, really experienced and safe too. I'd have rolled that thing in a second and he took some great pics of me climbing on the trucks roof!! Sunset over the desert was stunning and then back to Huacachina in time for the stars coming out ✨

Had a great time. It was worth every dollar. Lasted long enough, take a jacket it gets cold at sunset.

We arrived by Cruz de Sur bus just in time for the Dune buggy ride, instead of letting us get a cab, Kevin personally came to pick us up so that we would make it to the ride on time. As one of our group members found it hard to ascend the sand dune to where the buggy was, he even offered help by holding her hand! He took pics as we were leaving and was on hand to receive us at the end of the ride. The driver (unfortunately we do not know his name) was very fun loving, gave a great ride on the dunes – ensured we were safely buckled in – encouraged us to sandboard – and even took a number of great photos and videos. Kevin not only gave a us a ride back to a restaurant with great vegetarian food, but also dropped us back to the bus terminal. When our bus back to Lim was found to have trouble and delayed, he immediately rallied his friends and arranged for a private taxi to bring us back safely. It is clear that he and his friends are close knit and supportive of each other. We felt safe and cared for! We would highly recommend Kevin for his customer service and his quality care of tourists.
