Welcome to our small, family run, whale watching business in Húsavík – the whale-watching capital of Iceland. With over 30 years of experience sailing these pristine waters, we are dedicated to providing you with an unforgettable adventure. Our team of passionate whale watching experts ensures that every tour is tailored to our guests needs, offering a unique opportunity to witness majestic whales in their natural habitat. Itinerary

The waters around Húsavík are home to several species of cetaceans, including the more common Humpback and Minke whales, and rarer visitors, such as Blue, Fin and Killer whales. White-beaked dolphins can also be seen on some of our tours. These magnificent creatures are a sight to behold, and our team of whale-watching experts works tirelessly to provide our guests with an adventure of a lifetime. In addition to whale watching, our tours offer breathtaking views of the beautiful Icelandic coastline and the chance to spot sea birds. The Atlantic Puffin can be spotted between May and mid August. Our boat Moby Dick provides a comfortable platform for observing wildlife. Our knowledgeable guides will provide a wealth of information about whales, their ecology and habitat, and other marine species. During a typical whale-watching tour, we will head West towards Kinnarfjöll mountain range, where the highest point is Syðri Háganga *(1284m). Across Skjálfandi Bay, we can expect to see the Humpback whale, and occasionally the Minke whale, and sometimes other species like Blue or Fin whale. We will spend the rest of our tour with the whales and return to Húsavík after 2.30/3 hours.

I love being able to boast I've seen whales in the Arctic Ocean!

It was a fun experience and one we will not forget. We got to see 4-5 whales which is unusual for this late in the year (October). Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about spotting the whales and eager for those on the tour to see and enjoy observing them, too. The captain and guide were safety conscious and watchful that all their guests were doing well and having a good time. It was cold! The tour provides suits (worn over all clothing and outerwear) for additional comfort and safety but our feet were pretty numb by the end of the tour (this is the Arctic, after all). Wear warm socks and gloves and use hand and foot warmers for better comfort.

5 Whales and Pod of Porpoises

3 humpback whales and 2 fin whales with a pod of porpoises spotted on our way back to Husavik! Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable and we had a really great experience overall. I booked this tour appreciating that the company is committed to safe whale watching practices and it stood out among other options for that reason. Would recommend!

Brilliant guide and captain, very friendly, knowledgeable and informative… plus they really respected the whales and allowed us to watch without encroaching on their space. Word of warning… it gets rocky out there… take travel sickness tablets!!

We were fortunate to see 2 whales very close to our ship for a significant length of time. Our leader helped us understand what the whales were doing. Commentary was very friendly and knowledgeable, but also at all times for us humans, very thorough about safety and comfort.
