Leave behind Akureyri for this 2-hour whale watching experience. Limited to only 12 travelers, board your boat with a guide who can answer your questions and provide personal service. Search the ocean for humpback whales and other wildlife. This tour includes all necessary safety equipment. Itinerary

This 2 hr. Express whale watching is a small group tour on custom made 12 seater RIB boats, that can get you closer and faster to the optimal whale watching areas. This means a bigger chance of spotting whales, dolphins and bird life with out disturbing any natural behaviours. We guarantee an intimate and up close experience with our expert guides and a fantastic time in Iceland's longest glacial fjord.

Amazing experience

It was an amazing experience and Jacob our guide was really passionate about the whales which was great! We were lucky to see three kind of whales! If you have the time to take a Whale Watching Tour in Akureyri I warmly recommend this one as it is just a small group of people and you get a lot closer to the animals than with the big boats! We surely will be back! <3

This was the only trip we did in Iceland that didn't leave me feeling a bit disappointed. I loved it! It was well organised, the speedboat was alot of fun, we saw many whales, one popped up practically right beside the boat, but generally we kept a respectful distance away from the whales to not disturb them, our guide Mack was great and taught us so many interesting facts about whale behaviour. The speed boat definitely felt like the right choice as we were able to get over to where the whales were just in time to watch them dive. They usually turned the boat to the side so that everyone had a great view. We were also lucky to have fantastic weather and calm seas so that obviously helped!

Great experience! The guides are very knowledgeable and did a great job of spotting whales. We followed a pod of humpback whales for over an hour! Be sure to wear waterproof clothing (boots and waterproof pants, for sure), and only sit in the front of the boat if you’re a thrill seeker.
