Overview

Experience the incredible humpbacks in the Eyjafjord on board our comfortable sight seeing ship. Family friendly and great value whale watching tour operated up to 4 times a day from Akureyri in North Iceland. Elding is an environmentally friendly company and recognised worldwide for its environmental efforts. The aim, mission and goal is to minimise the operational impact on the environment while offering an unforgettable experience at sea.

A 2.5-3.5 hr. whale watching tour in Eyjafjörður, Akureyri, North Iceland where you will find the incredible and famous humpback whales of the Arctic. Incredible views and excellent guidance!

  • Please note that weather in Iceland is unpredictable and that the tour can be cancelled on short notice due to unfavourable conditions at sea.
  • This is a wildlife tour and therefore sightings cannot be guaranteed. In case of no sightings, we offer the opportunity to try again for free.
  • We abide by a code of conduct for responsible whale watching, which means that all sightings are on the wildlife's terms. We can therefore never guarantee up close encounters.
  • Please note that our fleet is not completely wheelchair accessible as there are steep stairs between lower and upper decks and high thresholds to get from the decks into the saloon as well as from the saloon to the toilets.
  • Wheelchair users are welcome to bring a foldable chair onboard our bigger boats, but if possible, please advise our office prior to departure as we may need to assist with boarding.

Whale watching was simply wonderful. The staff were knowledgeable and really friendly. The atmosphere on the boat was upbeat. There were blankets and overalls to keep people warm, plus hot drinks! Managed to see two whales pop up from the water a few times! It was magnificent watching them dive!

Had an amazing birthday on whale watching trip. Staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Boat was comfy, hot drinks available to help with the cold. Will definitely book again with this company. Very professional from start to Finnish.

The staff were lovely. It was -19 and icy and the staff were so attentive and friendly. We saw the lovely humpback Piccolo which was a magical experience. I would not hesitate to recommend

Amazing experience, the staff were so nice and friendly, definitely recommend it. I mean just the boat trip on its own is already a treat, with beautiful views and on top of that the main attraction, the whales. Im glad that I’ve done it.
