At Hoover Dam, cross into Arizona for incredible views before being led on an expertly guided tour atop the dam. Then, venture below and inside the Power Plant* for a tour led by a Bureau of Reclamation guide. Walk through original construction tunnels and see the eight massive generators of of the Nevada Powerhouse! *Should access to the Hoover Dam Generator Room be restricted by the Bureau of Reclamation, the tour will include stops at the Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge and the Boulder City Hoover Dam Museum.

Drive through the historic Boulder City as you make your way to the Hoover Dam. Your guide will explain the area and history of this charming city.
Lake Mead National Recreation Area (Pass By)

Lake Mead, the country’s largest reservoir, can be seen as you arrive at the historical Hoover Dam. Your guide will explain the surrounding area and Lake Mead itself.
Hoover Dam

The Hoover Dam stands as a tribute to US ingenuity and engineering during a time of adversity and hardship. Head to the Arizona side of the Dam to take in towering views of the Dam and the Colorado River below. Enjoy a walking tour with your guide atop the Dam as they share the history and interesting facts of the past. Guests will get to stop off at the Visitor Center to grab some souvenirs or snacks. Guests will get some free time to roam the area. Go below and inside the Dam for a tour of the Power Plant** led by an official guide of the Bureau of Reclamation. Interesting from the beginning to end. The driver gave lots of history on the area and the dam. The actual tour of the dam was short but unique and fascinating.

The tour was just right - we were able to walk around the outside of the dam and see the underground works. Pink tour guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Las Vegas rush hour traffic caused the total time to be a bit longer than we expected.

Our guide, Steve was fantastic! Friendly and informative, with extensive knowledge. The power plant tour at the dam was short and rather lacking (the fault of the park’s tour and guide,), but Steve more than made up for it afterwards with lots of facts and info to fill in the gaps. He also takes great photos!
