Thanh Ha Pottery Village

We keep going and stopping at a bustling local fish market. After a short walk through the market stalls, continue by Scooter into the pottery village and they will teach you how to make the pottery by clay. They will teach you how to make the pottery by clay.

Tra Que Vegetable Village

We will go to a local farming village traveling along picturesque country roads. Share in the daily work life of local farmers – hoeing and a soil, watering veggie at an organic herb garden.

Riding water buffalo in the field and enjoy the freshest air of the countryside beauty.

Duy Nghia

We will visit a local café to fuel up on local drip-coffee & learn the art of coffee roasting. After that, we will enjoy some great cups of coffee or fruit juices.

Bay Mau Coconut Forest

Learn to paddle the strange and unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boats. Explore the now tranquil coconut-palm flanked waterways of a past war and hear of the extreme conditions endured by soldiers on both sides. You can join to take a fun ride on the round basket boat to catch some small crabs in the green water coconut forest. Finally, we will enjoy a very famous local dish,"BANH XEO - RICE PANCAKES" and "MÌ QUẢNG - QUANG NOODLE", at a local resident's home.

John was a fun, knowledgeable, passionate and personable tour guide who went out of his way to tailor our tours to our needs. We learned lots of local history of his home town and enjoyed the many experiences he arranged. Would highly recommend him.

I visited Hoi A with my two sons 7 and 9. We met John as a guide allocated by a tour company. John speaks excellent English and is a very happy and friendly guide who had so much local knowledge that he loved sharing with us. John was so kind and fun with my sons which made our tours with him so pleasant and easy. John is a true Hoi A local and will help you to arrange just about anything. He is always happy to join in any activity and I cannot say enough good things about how John’s support made our trip truly unforgettable it would not have been the same without him. We enjoyed our day out with John so much that my children begged to do a second tour with John when he took us to his hidden gems. I felt that we really met some locals and gained a realistic insight to life in the villages around Hoi An. The people John introduced us to and his relaxed approaches made our day so fulfilling. I really cannot recommend John highly enough as a local Hoi An guide. You will have a great time with John.

A great way to see Hoi An

John put together a version of this tour for my family. We went to the pottery village, rode a water buffalo and went on the coconut boats. It was a great afternoon. John was knowledgeable, great with the kids and grew up in the area so knows everyone. We very much enjoyed our afternoon.
