The Suleymaniye Mosque is one of the most important monuments in Istanbul as a symbol of Ottoman power and influence in the city’s history and culture for centuries. Several prominent figures from Ottoman history are buried in the Suleymaniye Mosque, including Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent and his wife Hurrem Sultan.

Visit Kadınlar pazarı (woman baazar/market) which was built in 1908. The reason of named women baazar is because the poor women of the city would collect the vegetables and fruits that could not be sold to the rich people and were thrown away by the tradesmen, and sell them in the small stalls They opened next to the market. We will have brunch and tea break here

Great orientation to the hidden sites

Booked an half day walking tour of Istanbul to see other face of the city then touristic places. Tour was totaly walking tour to the monuments except the way back to the end of tour by public bus. The guide was very knowledgeable being a local himself and guided us around all of the various sites.

Absolutely wonderful! The mosques were beautiful, the places were impressive and the food market was worth to see on the route. Suleymanıye mosque which was built by architect Sinan and Chora museum's mosaics and frescoes were Best to me. I would highly recommend this half day walking tour for anyone that has limited time in Istanbul.

Worth half day tour in hidden gems

We had an amazing experience with our guide walking to the hidden gems out of touristic paths. The tour was to explore local places mostly mosques in the Environment call fatih. We did visit food market near the valens Aqueduct aswell, had some pastry with black tea. And visited an neighborhood that religious people live in and took a public bus to spice baazar where tour ended. Higly recommended.

The half day walking city tour was extremely informative about history and culture of the city with 4 of other people, helped everyone to know eachother within. The tour was a visiting mosques, food market and passing by a conservative neighboor to see locals in hidden places.
