Divorced. Beheaded. Died. Divorced. Beheaded. Survived!
What an awesome personal tour with Sarah Slater!
It started out with excellent communication on where to meet and how to purchase the entry to Hampton Court Palace prior to our arrival. Then the follow up the morning of the tour with a reminder of where to meet. We were able to locate Sarah easily and she started the tour by asking a few questions about ourselves, how much we knew already and what we wanted to get out of the tour.
She was mindful of our safety (always pointing out uneven walkways) and guided us through the palace making all the places we visited come to life. We booked the Tudor tour and it did not disappoint. She helped us to appreciate what life was like as a royal, as guests and as many of the staff that kept the place running for so many years back in the time of Henry VIII. We took three tours during our 5 nights in London and this was by far my favorite.
Hampton Court was an easy train ride from the center of the city and a short walk from the train station. After our tour we had something to eat from the café on the Palace grounds and walked around the hedge maze plus went back and took pictures from some of our favorite parts of the tour.
THANK YOU Sarah for making history come alive for us!
We highly recommend this tour for any fans of Tudor history (like myself) or for anyone else who would enjoy walking around a Palace that dates back 500 years (my husband and young adult kids). We got so much more out of our time there than had we toured alone.
