Overview

Inside the Valley there are twelve temples as well as some fortifications, the Lower Agora and the Upper Agora, an Olympeion and a Bouleuterion. A source of inspiration for poets, philosophers and painters, it is undoubtedly one of the most emblematic parks in Sicily. Our guide will lead you to discover this place where time seems to have stopped, preserving an unprecedented historical charm. The tour will start from the temple of Hera, continuing on the sacred way up to the remains of the surrounding wall. You will continue with a visit to the Temple of Concordia, the remains of the early Christian necropolis, the Temple of Heracles and the remains of the temple of Zeus.

Had a perfect day! Our guide was very knowledgeable and concerned about our wellbeing as it was hot. She made sure we were in the shade, when she told us about what were seeing. She made the tour come to life. It’s an easy bus ride from Agrigento to the temples, take bus #1 or 2 it drops you off at the entrance, come back the same way. Very memorable site!
