Breathtaking views, and an amazing tour guide, made this visit a spectacular and unforgettable experience. Highly recommended

We booked this tour prior to arriving in Peru so we wouldn't have to deal with finding a guide at the entrance, and we're very glad we did. Victor was an amazing guide, and helpful throughout. He met us the night before our visit at our hotel and explained everything about the next day. He made some really good recommendations on when to arrive for the bus and other logistics. He met us again at the buses in the (early) morning, and rode with us to the top. Throughout the tour, he was great at answering every one of our questions. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the history, and never rushed us. We had a couple of people in our group that couldn't climb all the stairs, so he provided alternatives for those people while the rest of the group did the full tour. Overall, we left Machu Picchu with a great appreciation and a lot more knowledge.

Victor was amazing. He explained thoroughly, but simple and easy to follow. He was also kind enough to take photos of us in the spots with the best views. We highly recommend Victor! we enjoyed the whole tour. We are two people and our private guide was Victor. He is knowledgeable guide, with great sense oh humour. we learnt and laughed through the entire tour. And he took the best pictures as well - he knows all the great picturing point&angle, he captured lots great moments of me and my husband . And when he explained, he did not just2 talked about stuff, he showed pictures, pictures from books and even pictures which he took! Definitely recommend you to ask for Victor if you can.

This was my second time to Machu Picchu and while yes you can book a tour guide at the top of the mountain, which I did the first time, this guide was far more knowledgeable. He even included pictures and explained everything he could to the best of his knowledge. The whole family loved it and could understand him. He also took the time to point out the best spots to take pictures and took our picture for us. Keep in mind that if you are to go with a group tour, they may not go all the way to the top because others in the group may not be able to handle the steps and the altitude. You run the risk of going to the top and missing the tour or going with the tour and missing the top. Therefore, I strongly recommend a private tour that allows you to go at your own pace and to see the things you want to see versus having to go with the group.
