  • Arehucas Rum Distillery

    During this guided tour through the distillery facilities of Destilerías Arehucas, you will get to know interesting facts about our history and traditions. In addition to an explanation of the rum production process, the visit takes place in one of the oldest rum cellars in Europe, containing 4,308 American oak casks. This journey through the history of rum in the Canary Islands lasts for 45 minutes and is spread over 5 stages: - Introduction on the origin of Arehucas. - Visit to the rum ageing cellar. - Discovering the rum production process and visit to the mill, and fermentation and distillation rooms - Bottling plant - Tasting our wide range of rums and liqueurs Our products can be purchased at the end of the visit. • Enjoy a Journey through the history of rum • Taste a wide variety of rums and liqueurs • Get the chance to buy original products from Arehucas Distillery

Basic info before you go: You encounter a locked gate upon arrival; press the button on the box to be let in Parking and tickets window are very close to the entrance Clean restrooms right behind the ticket office Browse the attractive gift shop before and/or after your tour The fun stuff: Spotless and pleasing facility Multi-lingual tour guides available You get to see all of the current equipment/processes and an interesting hallway of the company’s history Adequately staffed gift/bottle shop is attractive with just the right amount of items to choose from Our favorite part of the experience: Our tour guide, Pino Ramirez, was wonderful! In addition to leading a comprehensive tour, she was able to answer all of our questions, and did a great job helping us to select our tasting choices at the end of the tour. We were never rushed nor were we ever bored. We learned a lot and had a great time!
