Taste the best bites in Budapest on our Budapest Food Tour. An expert guide will take you and a group of fellow foodies around District 7 to try traditional Hungarian street food and authentic dishes, while giving you bits of history along the way. In order to eat like a local, you’ll have to explore both sides of Budapest. While discovering the more bohemian side of the city, you’ll try some street food including traditional soup and Lángos, a deep-fried flatbread. Then, you’ll head to one of the city’s most expensive streets for a sit-down meal and a fancier perspective of Hungarian cuisine. Taste the country’s classics like nokedli dumplings and Flódni, a Jewish-Hungarian pastry. And of course, no food tour is complete without something to wash it all down which is why all of our dishes are perfectly-paired with local alcohol like fruity Pálinka and sweet wine from Tokaji, Hungary’s famed wine region. Skip the tourist traps and explore the city like a local—through your tastebuds!

    No trip to Budapest is complete without a tour through District 7, the city’s former Jewish neighbourhood and home to the biggest synagogue in Europe. Nowadays the neighbourhood is known for vibrant nightlife full of “ruin bars” which, like Hungarian cuisine, have Jewish roots. Wander the streets through this historical neighbourhood with your guide who will offer an interesting perspective into the country’s gastronomic scene. After learning about its history, you’ll try authentic Hungarian street food!

Great Tour with Amazing Food and a Fantastic Guide!

I recently did the Tipsy Tour in Budapest, and it was an amazing experience! The food was fantastic, and the different locations we visited were all within a comfortable distance of each other. The only small downside was that the beers could have been a bit colder, but honestly, I forgot all about that thanks to our awesome guide, Kitti. She led us through the tour with so much energy and shared some really funny and interesting facts along the way. She truly made the whole experience unforgettable!
