Overview

You will be picked up in an executive vehicle at the time and location specified by you. You can customise the tour to suit your interests . One option could be to visit the Kelvingrove Museum, which opened in 1901 and houses a fantastic display of art and collections . To the University of Glasgow. Founded in 1451, you can wander through its buildings and world-renowned cloisters. Clydeside Distillery, where you can tour, learn the history, and sample some fine whisky. A fine cafe is also available. A short drive to Glasgow Cathedral. See the magnificent buildings built in the 1100s and the complete medieval cathedral on the Scottish mainland. You may walk across the road to "The Necropolis." Here you can see the vast burial ground of Victorian Glasgow, with over 50,000 individuals interred within its confines. A short drive to the Burrell Collection with its 8,000+ exhibits from all over the world, sample the fine cafe and then relax as you are driven back to your drop-off.

  • Glasgow Cathedral

    The medieval Glasgow Cathedral has been in constant use for worship for over 800 years, and is of great architectural and historic interest. Highlights include one of the finest post-war collections of stained glass windows in Britain, and the ceiling in the Blackadder Aisle which was built around 1500 by Archbishop Blackadder. Cared for by Historic Scotland and open to visitors throughout the year from 9.30am except Sundays when it is open at 1pm. Closing times vary.

    The Necropolis, Glasgow's Victorian City of the Dead, is a vast and grand cemetery modelled on PĆØre-Lachaise in Paris. Described as one of the most significant cemeteries in Europe, it is a major visitor attraction and patrolled by Park Rangers. Heritage Trail maps are available to guide the visitor to the memorials and tombs of some of Glasgow's most eminent citizens 90 minutes

    Over 8000 items form The Burrell Collection. Highlights include one of the most significant holdings of Chinese art in the UK, medieval treasures including stained glass, arms and armour and over 200 tapestries which rank amongst the finest in the world, and paintings by renowned French artists including Manet, Cezanne and Degas. This magnificent collection in its purpose-built home surrounded by beautiful parkland, is ranked amongst the most significant civic museum collections in the UK, comparable to the National Gallery and the V&A in London. On the way out you may well spot Highland cattle grazing in the beautiful setting of Pollok Park or otters in the small river that runs through the estate.
