With a stunning depth of knowledge and perspective, he literally walked us through this profound period of history which transformed Barcelona’s physical, economic and cultural structures into urban Catalonia. Alessandro brought alive the rich weave of political, industrial and sociological factors giving rise to modernism and the endlessly enchanting contours of Gaudi’s designs.
