The etymology of the name "Similan" traces its roots to the Malay language, specifically the word "sembilan," which translates to "nine." Interestingly, each of the Similan Islands is not only named but also assigned a numerical designation. In colloquial Thai parlance, these islands are often referred to solely by their numbers, simplifying identification. For instance, Koh Miang becomes Koh Si, signifying "island number four" in the sequence from north to south, with the numerical progression commencing at nine and descending sequentially.

(Island No.4) Lunch time at Miang Island. Koh Miang holds a central position within the enchanting Similan Islands archipelago. This island serves as a hub for various park amenities. Together with neighboring Islands, it forms the tranquil anchorage of Hideaway Bay, offering liveaboard vessels a comfortable and secure mooring location. Koh Miang, referred to as "Island Four" or "Ko Sii" in Thai (เกาะสี่), plays a pivotal role in the Similan Islands. It houses essential facilities such as the National Park headquarters, a souvenir emporium, a restaurant offering delectable fare, and accommodations in the form of tents and bungalows. Additionally, visitors can relish the charm of two picturesque beaches that are readily accessible on this island.

I had a very good experience with the last trip with this tour, so I booked another one. It was not disappoint. The staff were so helpful and the scenery was amazing. Definitely going to book another one with them.

Very nice trip. Excellent service they provide everything we need , clean boats aswell and staff crew was so friendly. Similan island one of the Must see when you are visited to Phuket. Recommended
