You are not only watching, but participating in the cooking of traditional Thai dishes. We teach and let you make your own Curry Paste from scratch using Motar and Pestle (No MSG and no buying ready made ones from the market) Also as a part of our cooking, we visit the local market (for classes with market tour) to learn and taste local exotic fruits and vegetables. Chef VJ and chef Gigi are very fluent in English so you will have no problem understanding step by step instructions. They would be able to give much more information and answer all your doubts you might have regarding ingredients or other questions you have about thai cooking. Most importantly, you will also learn about the replacement of the important ingredients that you could use at home if that ingredient is not available. Cooking is done in a clean kitchen. Everyone has their own cooking stations You will make your own Curry Paste from scratch using Motar and Pestle (No MSG and no buying ready made ones from the market) Free transportation (Kata, Kata Noi, Karon, Rawai, Patong and Nai Harn). My husband who doesnā€™t cook had a blast at this very well run cooking class! Learned a lot at the market and bought spices to bring home. Donā€™t eat before you come - you will make 3 meals pleas sweet sticky rise for dessert!

This class was so much fun. Firstly, I had food poisoning on the originally booked day. They were very accommodating with switching days for this excursion. This excursion was a great introduction to Thai food. We had a tour of the market, learned more about various fruits and veggies to cook with, and tasted various fruits. The cooking part was so much fun! They were very descriptive of what we were using, and had someone at our station to make sure we were adding food in the correct order. After we were don't cooking, we ate our food. YUMMY. We made 4 dishes. I was god and full when the class was over.
