Overview

Join other fans on an All Creatures Great and Small Tour including locations from the latest TV adaptation from Channel 5 as well as sites from the original BBC series from the 1970s. The first stop of the day will be at the 'World of James Herriot' attraction where you can see the former surgery and home of Alf Wright. This day tour by mini-coach showcases the culture and beauty of the Yorkshire Dales. It will take fans of the James Herriot books and TV series (both the current and the original BBC series) on a picturesque tour of the dales covering more than 15 locations from the show over the years. Lunch will be taken at Hardraw where you can stop for lunch at the pub that was actually used as the interior of The Drovers Arms and featured in many of the episodes of the new series. Entry to the World of James Herriot is also included in the tour. Your day-long All Creatures Great and Small Tour will be full of scenic countryside and will conclude back in central York.

Meet your driver guide at Duncombe place opposite Dean Court Hotel outside York Minster. Here you will see the 16 seater minivan.

1. World of James Herriot The tour includes free entry to the World of James Herriot attraction. See the original home of All Creatures Great and Small. 1 hour

2. Skipton Get a guided tour of the locations from the hit TV show in this pretty village, 1 hour

3. Hardraw Force Stop for a drink at the Drovers Arms from the original TV series 30 minutes

4. York Your tour will start and end in this historic city in the heart of Yorkshire. 6 hours 30 minutes
