Itinerary

  • Sukhothai Historical Park

    Pick up time: 08.15 am at your hotel in Sukhothai new city and old city by covered pickup truck, Car or Tuk Tuk. Highlight Villages, Rice fields, Teak wood furniture factory, Wat Chang Lom, Wat Si Chum, Sukhothai Kiln, Wat Mahathat, Wat Si Sawai, Wat Sa Si, King Monument and Wat Chetuphon and some others temples. Itinerary: We will collect you from your hotel in the morning. The cycling tour starts from a small village on Sukhothai's outskirts known as Ban Kluai, We take a dirt road passing though endless rice paddies with beautiful views of the Kao Laung mountain range in Ramkhamhang National Park. Visiting the local teak wood furniture factory, we will continue our journey along small irrigation canals (Klong Mae Lampan) passing through rural villages. Arriving at the Eastern Gate we will explore some of Sukhothai's famous ancient ruins. You will marvel at beautiful Buddhist and Hindu architecture and be exposed to some of the country's most stunning craftmanship from a period known as Thailand's Golden Era . The tour offers the visitor a guided cultural experience, learning about Sukhothai's history and complex architecture as well as the story of Buddhism in Thailand. After a delicious local lunch our tour will continue to the south direction to visit the pottery street art, than arrive at Wat Chetuphon explore this beautiful ruins and our trip will continue before arriving back at the hotel around 16:00 p.m. FACTS Distance: Total cycling distance is about 30 - 35 km (some unsealed roads) Fitness Level: Suitable for participants in good fitness condition.

Do this bike tour - it was excellent!

This bicycle tour was an excellent and a most enjoyable way to see the Sukhothai historical park, as well as nearby rice fields and villages. Our guide Miaow was very knowledgeable about the history which she explained to us, as well as answering any questions we had about Thailand generally. She was also thoughtful and accommodating ensuring we were going at a suitable pace, providing breaks, snacks and water. The ride was flat and not difficult. A delicious lunch at a local restaurant was included. The bikes were excellent. It was a great day and we’d love to do it again!

Amazing experience

The experience was amazing and a highlight of my Thailand trip so far. Miaow, the guide, gave a lot of interesting information about the historical park, Sukhothais history and life in a small city. We had local snacks and a delicious lunch, overall a great experience.

This is a unique experience run by a synchronized family. Surprisingly, English was excellent. I've been to Thailand many times, yet this time I learned a ton of new things. It was the right decision to come visit Sukhothai. The bikes were so good. Refreshments, local snacks, and cold towels were always provided. Toilet breaks were given in a timely manner. Every single aspect was so thoughtfully done. While our guide was leading us, her cousin made sure we were safe when crossing the roads, and keeping the group together. In short, cycling was not demanding at all, but totally fun. And all explanations by our guide Miao about not only history, but all aspects of Thai culture were throrough and funny. A highly recommended bike excursion into Sukhothai's ways of life and ancient Thai history. Plus, the food for lunch was excellent. Everybody in the group, I am sure, agrees.

Just a fantastic experience - We could not have asked for a better tour, or tour guide! Miaow was so knowledgeable, hilarious and so, so lovely. The bike ride was fabulous, the historical park/temples were incredible, and the meal provided was absolutely delicious. Would give it 100 stars if we could. Thank you so much, and we will be recommending you to anyone we meet or know heading to Sukhothai!

What an amazing tour!! If you are looking for a tour that not only shows you all the highlights of Sukhothai, but also the local country life of the Thai people, choose this tour! Jib is super kind, very easy-going, knows the answers to all of your questions, speaks fluently English, and even a few words Dutch!! The bikes are super well maintained (we can tell as a Dutch family) and he even knows better than we do how to change a flat tire on the spot. Jib, Kob Khun Ka for the amazing day :) we will always remember you!
