We had a great day of touring Fukuoka and the surrounding areas with Radim. He picked us up early at our hotel and he was friendly and fun. Plus, both his English and Japanese are excellent. At our request, Radim took us to see the beautiful Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine and Kyushu National Museum in Dazaifu, which were both amazing sites to see. On our way back to Fukuoka, Radim suggested that we stop for a unique treat, an umegae mochi, which was delicious. We wanted to try some famous Hakata ramen for lunch, so after walking through Tenjin Underground Mall and the Kawabata Arcade, Radim took us to a great little hidden gem for delicious ramen in the city. Afterwards, we continued our tour by visiting Kushida Shrine and Tochoji Temple in Fukuoka, where we were fortunate to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom. We finished our long day with a visit to beautiful Nanzo-in Temple. Radim is also a talented photographer! He took some great pictures for us and he showed us his favorite photo spots. It was a very full 10-hour day of touring, which we could never have accomplished without Radim, who helped us buy our train tickets and guided us through each station and onto every platform throughout our journey. Thank you, Radim, for a memorable day!
