Beautiful, but strenuous hiking to sites. Great tour guide!

Helen, the tour guide was great! She was very careful and helped everyone on tour. The description of this tour should mention it is very strenuous. You are told this on bus when enroute to destinations. I saved my steps for the gorge. It was absolutely beautiful. There are many steps to climb and a lot of uphill and down hill. Just know this going in, and don't be surprised! It was absolutely beautiful sites. it is a long day, but my family really enjoyed all the sites.

Beautiful scenery surrounding very special experiences.

We visited three beautiful and very special places and learnt much about their significance, history and enjoyed tasty offerings near two of them. Our guide, Molly from Gogoday Tours, was an absolute delight and spoke English very well, and provided information easily when talking to her to one side or when waiting for the others within the tour. Although at times we could have enjoyed more time at each site, adequate time was provided. Lots of steps and slopes to navigate but well worth it. I would recommend the tour, and the guide, to anyone desiring to experience beautiful natural scenery in Japan and wanting to learn more of the Shinto beliefs & history.

Our guide Sekinen was great. She was concerned about all passengers and was very attentive. The description of the places was good and made the trip enjoyable. At the end, she gave us cookies from the region, lovely detail. The places we have been to were beautiful. I recommend this tour.
