Overview

Your experience begins with a short video presentation in the main museum. After the video your guide will lead you on a short walking tour along the banks of the New River. You will visit the Pioneer House Museum, and the 1899 Replica Schoolhouse Museum, before returning to view the Seminole culture, Maritime history and pioneer exhibits in the main museum.  All three museums are located on the picturesque banks of the New River right in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Our main museum (housed in the historic New River Inn) is on the north bank of the New River where the River meets Flagler's Railroad.

History Ft. Lauderdale Experience.

The area is nice. The staff is hilarious and well-versed in the history. It's a nice spot if you wamt to learn more about the early history of Fort Lauderdale, and various points in time, Ranging from Early History, Seminole Wars, F.E.C. Railway and The Who's Who in the 1970s.

The Fort Lauderdale History Museum houses a beautiful story of the beginnings of the city. It should be a stop for everyone visiting Fort Lauderdale.

Small but very informative museum with an easy self guided tour. There is information on the Seminole tribes and the foundation of the city. Outside the grounds make for a very pleasant walk.
