Itinerary

  • N/A (Pass By)

Plaza de la Marina is a plaza in the Centro district of the city of Malaga, Spain. It constitutes one of the nerve points of the city, since two important axes intersect here: the Alameda Principal and the Paseo del Parque with some of the busiest streets in the historic center, such as Calle Molina Lario, and with the main access to the Port from Malaga.

  • Malaga Cathedral (Pass By)

One of the jewels of the Spanish Renaissance looks out to sea. History, art and faith are manifested together in the Holy Cathedral Church Basilica of the Incarnation of Malaga. Its extensive history comes from the Greater Mosque on which it was built. From there, the result of its different construction stages and styles make it a majestic Renaissance-Baroque Cathedral with a Gothic vocation. Delve into its interior, see its beauty, enjoy its unique “siloesca” structure and the great artistic and heritage wealth it treasures. Don't miss any detail of its catechetical Capilla Mayor, its magnificent canvas of the Virgen del Rosario created by Alonso Cano, its popular Virgen de los Reyes or its old Gothic altarpiece of Santa Bárbara. Go to the choir and feel the spirituality of one of the main sculptural ensembles of the Spanish Baroque.

  • Universidad de Malaga (Pass By)

The University of Malaga or, according to its acronym, UMA, is a publicly-owned higher education institution founded in 1972. Nearly 40,000 students study there and about 2,450 teachers work.

  • Banco de Espana (Pass By)

Bank of Spain branch in Malaga

  • Ayuntamiento de Malaga (Pass By)

  • N/A (Pass By)

The port of Malaga is a Spanish seaport located in the Bay of Malaga, in the south of the Iberian Peninsula, in the western Mediterranean. Managed by the Malaga Port Authority, it is a commercial, passenger, cruise, sports and fishing port. The average annual temperature is 19 °C.

  • Centre Pompidou Malaga (Pass By)

  • Playa de La Malagueta (Pass By)

La Malagueta Beach is a beach in the eastern district of the city of Malaga, in Andalusia, Spain. It is an urban beach with dark sand located on the eastern coast of the city, between the port of Malaga and La Caleta beach. It is about 1,200 meters long and about 45 meters wide on average.

  • N/A

Sophisticated restaurant serving fish, seafood, wines and typical local cuisine by the sea.

    5 minutes

  • Mirador del Gibralfaro

This Castle, built in the 14th century to house the troops and protect the Alcazaba, is today one of the most visited moments in Malaga where you can walk through its walls with impressive views of Malaga, or enter its Interpretation Center to discover his story. It receives its name from a lighthouse on its top (Jabal-Faruk, mount of the lighthouse). Although it was used by Phoenicians and Romans, it would be the Nasrid king Yusuf I in 1340 who would make this settlement a fortress. In the reconquest it suffered the siege of the Catholic Monarchs during the summer of 1487 and Fernando del CatĂłlico made it his temporary residence after the victory. In addition, he designated the castle as an element of the city's coat of arms.

    5 minutes

  • Plaza de toros de La Malagueta (Pass By)

La Malagueta is Malaga's bullring. It is located in the area that gives it its name, La Malagueta, in the Eastern District of Malaga, next to the Paseo de Reding.

Jaime is the best

Published on Jan, 2025

Jaime was the best. We learned so much about Malaga history and culture. He took us to special places we would have never seen on a larger tour. A very personable guide and I highly recommend asking for him.

Unbelievable Experience in Malaga

Published on Dec, 2024

I brought my family from the US to Malaga for our Christmas vacation for 10 days. We spent the first 4 days in the Center of Malaga enjoying all of the beautiful lights and Christmas celebrations which was absolutely wonderful!!! However, I wanted my family to really understand and see all of the history and gorgeous sites of Malaga. We booked this tour with Alberto as our tour guide. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. Alberto was very nice and accommodating giving us blankets as it was a little cold and windy. But most of all Alberto was extremely knowledgeable giving us as much information about not only Malaga but all of Spain. We learned so much and we were able to see how absolutely beautiful Malaga is. We were able to see Malaga from the mountain tops to the Mediterranean Sea. My wife and daughters also learned a great deal about the history while enjoying the sites. I highly recommend this tour!!!!

Excellent - highly recommended

Excellent overview of Malaga

Published on Dec, 2024

The Tuktuk tour is a great way to get an overview of Malaga. Then you can decide where to spend more independent time. Our guide Jaime speaks fluent English & is extremely knowledgeable about Malaga history, architecture, culture and current events. The tour highlight for us was the fishing village off the typical tourist route.

We had to walk a little further than expected but it was worth it. Our driver was friendly, professional, knowledgeable. We were the only ones on the Tuk Tuk so we were able to ask a lot of questions. He dropped us off at the Christmas Market upon request and saved us a taxi ride. Thank you.
