Don't miss any detail of its catechetical Capilla Mayor, its magnificent canvas of the Virgen del Rosario created by Alonso Cano, its popular Virgen de los Reyes or its old Gothic altarpiece of Santa Bárbara. Go to the choir and feel the spirituality of one of the main sculptural ensembles of the Spanish Baroque.

This Castle, built in the 14th century to house the troops and protect the Alcazaba, is today one of the most visited moments in Malaga where you can walk through its walls with impressive views of Malaga, or enter its Interpretation Center to discover his story.
It receives its name from a lighthouse on its top (Jabal-Faruk, mount of the lighthouse). Although it was used by Phoenicians and Romans, it would be the Nasrid king Yusuf I in 1340 who would make this settlement a fortress.
In the reconquest it suffered the siege of the Catholic Monarchs during the summer of 1487 and Fernando del Católico made it his temporary residence after the victory. In addition, he designated the castle as an element of the city's coat of arms.

Jaime is the best

Jaime was the best. We learned so much about Malaga history and culture. He took us to special places we would have never seen on a larger tour. A very personable guide and I highly recommend asking for him.
Unbelievable Experience in Malaga
Published on Dec, 2024
I brought my family from the US to Malaga for our Christmas vacation for 10 days. We spent the first 4 days in the Center of Malaga enjoying all of the beautiful lights and Christmas celebrations which was absolutely wonderful!!! However, I wanted my family to really understand and see all of the history and gorgeous sites of Malaga. We booked this tour with Alberto as our tour guide. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. Alberto was very nice and accommodating giving us blankets as it was a little cold and windy. But most of all Alberto was extremely knowledgeable giving us as much information about not only Malaga but all of Spain. We learned so much and we were able to see how absolutely beautiful Malaga is. We were able to see Malaga from the mountain tops to the Mediterranean Sea. My wife and daughters also learned a great deal about the history while enjoying the sites. I highly recommend this tour!!!!

The Tuktuk tour is a great way to get an overview of Malaga. Then you can decide where to spend more independent time.
Our guide Jaime speaks fluent English & is extremely knowledgeable about Malaga history, architecture, culture and current events.
The tour highlight for us was the fishing village off the typical tourist route.

We had to walk a little further than expected but it was worth it. Our driver was friendly, professional, knowledgeable. We were the only ones on the Tuk Tuk so we were able to ask a lot of questions. He dropped us off at the Christmas Market upon request and saved us a taxi ride. Thank you.
