Overview

Thanks to this tour you will have the opportunity to experience unique emotions, mixed with amazement and fear, for the breathtaking scenery and views but also the devastating and merciless power of the volcano that with its lava flows sweeps everything and changes the ambiance for centuries. But the volcano is also a big good brother for local people, giving them the fruits of the fertile land that you can taste first at the honey farm and then at the winery, thus immersing yourself in the aromas and flavors typical of this wonderful land full of contrasts.

Itinerary

  • Craters Silvestri of Mount Etna

    Ascending the southern slope of the volcano, we will cross the lava flow of 1983 and 2002 where we will stop to see up close its destructive effects. We will continue up to an altitude of 2.000 meters, where you can easily visit the Silvestri Craters originated from the eruption of 1892. here you will have the opportunity to walk along the edge of the lower crater, or go to the discovery of the breathtaking panorama that can be enjoyed from the top of the highest crater climbing the slope along an easy path.

  • Oro d'Etna

    On the way to Taormina, we will pass by Zafferana Etnea, where we stop at a Honey Farm to witness the organic honey production process and taste the varieties of organic honey and many other products like Extra Vergin Olive Oil, Wine, liquors, Olives, dry tomatoes and much more.

  • Gambino Winery

    Last stop of the tour will be at a winery located on the north side of the Etna volcano, where you can enjoy the aromas and flavors that our generous land offers us. After visiting the winery and the vineyard, you will taste a delicious lunch based on local products prepared according to tradition as well as 5 wines expertly paired with dishes.

EXCELLENT TOUR FOR VACATION!

Excellent! Excellent Tour, and what a great winery, Gambino winery is AWESOME. We were a little unfortunate because of the snow, we could not get to the hiking areas of Mount Etna, but it WAS UNBELIEVABLE. We had Ricardo as our guide and HE IS SUPER COOL, VERY KNOWLEDGABLE and speaks good English....I recommend this tour to everyone, we may just come back to Catania for this tour!!

Martino was very nice and informative. He stopped along the way to Mt. Etna to show us sites. Loved the Gambino Winery tour. Very informative tour of the winery. Very generous with their pours too. People were very friendly.

We had a wonderful day on this tour. The whole experience was out standing and we can’t recommend this tour highly enough.. We were met exactly on time in an air conditioned Mercedes by Our guide Martino. Martino was a pleasure to spend the day with.. He spoke perfect English and was informative and attentive without being intrusive. The ride to Mount Etna was as interesting as being at Etna itself. There were were plenty stops for photo opportunities and to learn about life near and on Etna. The winery tour and tasting were wonderful.. The wine offerings and lunch were generous and delicious. Fantastic day, thank you so much Martino!

Sleeping Giant…Mt Etna!

Mt Etna also beautiful vineyards and highlights of Taormina - very much enjoyed the little church all the way up on the hill the view was spectacular. Our driver Martin was excellent! Very professional and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our time with him he was very kind and complimentary with our very limited Italian.
