Overview

Come see Moab in a whole new way! E-Motion Moab offers the first and only electric dirt bike tours in Utah. Don't be a passenger in a Jeep or other off-road vehicle, you can be in the driver seat of these fun, exciting, and user friendly machines. The quiet ride allows you to immerse yourself in the environment and interact with your group. Set your own pace as you follow the pathway through giant rock formations and across wide open plateaus with spectacular views all around. When you reach the top of the hill and capture the views of the Colorado River and three parks (Canyonlands NP, Dead Horse Point SP, Bears Ears NM) This is only the half way point and you get to continue your ride back through the amazing scenery.

Meeting points

The Meeting point is located at the Potash Road Boat Ramp. Turn from Highway 191 onto UT-279 S/Potash Rd. Travel 16.6 miles to the end of the paved road. turn left to the boat ramp parking area. Please contact E-Motion Moab for additional booking details.

Itinerary

  • Colorado Riverway Recreation Area

    Follow the Colorado River into the red rock backcountry and follow the twisting road to arrive at the spectacular Colorado River Overlook over 800ft above the river. Made famous by the incredible views of Three Parks - Canyonlands NP, Dead Horse Point State Park and Bears Ears National Monument. This amazing spot was also made infamous as Thelma and Louise point where the two drive their car over the edge to escape capture.

  • Dead Horse Point State Park

    The Tour travels under the giant cliffs and buttes of Dead Horse State Park with views of the point from below. The tour does not enter the park but includes views of the park area.

    20 minutes

  • Canyonlands National Park

    The tour reaches a vast overlook where sections of Canyonlands NP can be seen. The tour does not enter the park but offers views of the park area.

Father/son blast

This experience was a blast! My 17 year old son loved it. The views of the raw southern Utah landscape were fabulous. I am new to e-dirt bikes and picked up on riding quickly. I did have a couple spills and scratched up my arm, but still had an awesome time. I felt safe to n the bikes which were still factory regulated so you don’t get too fast.

10/10 will do again, this was so much fun! Laid back fun and relaxed tour and ride! The Shaffer trail was amazing and the entire experience unforgettable! If you're visiting Moab this is a must!

Great trip up Shafer Trail Road with Mark. Have been to Moab area several times. Done many varied outings around Moab. Own hard tail mountain ebike. Never rode edirtbike before. Hope to do Gemini trail next time.

Steven, our host, was super friendly and knowledgable about the sights we passed. He made sure we were all safe and felt comfortable on the bikes. They max out at 30mph which is great for first time riders. My gf as a beginner had a great time and the views were amazing. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanted to try these bikes for the first time!
