Overview

We are the only tour company in Iceland that offers photo packages with every tour. Also, we limit our group size to 10 guests, which is the smallest of any glacier operator. Each person will receive 5 professionally edited photographs sent via Google Drive within the week after your hike. These include personalised landscapes, portraits, and group shots from your adventure. Get to the Crystal Ice Cave before all of the other companies fill it up with hundreds of people! Our Early Bird Ice Cave Tour has you waking up before everyone else and setting off toward the glacier to welcome the day. Your guide will lead you onto Vatnajokull Glacier and have you arriving at a much quieter ice cave with few to no people inside of it. Being one of the first to arrive at the ice cave allows you to enjoy a more personal experience with the ice.

Itinerary

Vatnajokull National Park

Your personal photographer and glacier guide will lead you onto one of Iceland’s most scenic outlet glaciers. As you immerse yourself into the blue ice, the guide will use his own camera equipment to take professional photos of you to capture on of the most unique experiences in Iceland; the Summer Ice Cave. Throughout the hike, you will learn about the history of Vatnajokull Glacier and how the ice works in nature. After the tour ends, your guide will professionally edit your photos and email them to you within the week. These photos will be the perfect souvenir and memory of your adventure in Iceland!

This trip was amazing! While the cave is not as blue in the winter morning because there’s no light outside our guide Julien brought his own and truly made it memorable! He was really knowledgeable and kept us entertained the whole time. We were very lucky and the only people who signed up for a morning tour so we had the cave to ourselves and it was truly incredible! Julien also took great photos! Highly recommend this tour

Amazon natural formed cave with a beautiful short walk over the glacier (the glacier gives interstellar vibes). Once we arrived at the cave proceeded to have amazing pictures from our tour guides, which we received shortly after getting back to our country. It really stands out the different shades of color you can see inside this cave. Dario was our tour guide, he was very knowledgeable, amazing attention, definetely recommed ice pic for your tour.

I definitely recommend the early bird tour, being there before the crowd was so worth it. Had a lot of fun getting up close and personal to a glacier. I hope to see it again in the summer one day soon. Oh and the professional pictures came out absolutely perfect!

Had an amazing day on the glacier, couple of days ago! We were lucky with the weather, sunshine and no wind and our guide Adonis from Greece, took us to a beautiful ice cave! We were early and the very first ones there so we had plenty of time for pictures. His knowledge and stories made our trip unforgettable! Totally recommended! IcePic Journeys you rock!
