WHEELCHAIR POLICY: Our tours are a combination of train and luxury coach and include a moderate level of physical activity, such as short walks to meeting points etc. Unfortunately even the most modern luxury coaches (buses) are not wheelchair friendly, thus our tours are not suitable for those with mobility issues, and regretfully walkers, wheelchairs and mobility scooters cannot be accommodated on our tours.

I took this tour with my husband and my son, and we had a great time! The tour was really well organized, and our guides were knowledgeable and friendly. We went with Brian, Alex, and John. When my son mentioned that he wanted to go to the ocean while we were in Dublin, John suggested going to Howth and gave us directions on our map. He also showed us where to find some antique shops in Dublin. We had plenty of time at Blarney Castle, and that was important to me. We highly recommend this tour!

A well worthwhile trip

First via train, you get to see the tarrian of Ireland! Then the trip, like anything Viator books is very well orchestrated. In fact, there were different tours going different directions near the end and it went without a hitch. Finally, the stops! So beautiful and you have plenty of time to explore. The only suggestion would be to utilize off season time. It looked like the queue to the Blarney stone can take 90 minutes in peak time. If on off season, it took longer to climb up than to wait in line. And, without just idling waiting, it gives plenty of time to investigate the grounds, which are remarkable! The tour assistant was wonderful. And Cohn was impressive..... A secret that is mostly overlooked!

Our day trip was the perfect break to city life in Dublin! David, our guide, was friendly and knowledgeable. The stops along the way were so pretty. And the towns of Blarney and Cobh were breathtaking. Blarney Castle was really cool - a chance for some fun pictures! Might be challenging for some older folks or even littles to get to the top. And we didn’t know you have to hang upside down to kiss the stone - very cool! There seem to be a lot of reviews about the lack of food throughout the day so we packed snacks. But that was unnecessary as there was plenty of options at the train station in Dublin and in Cork, as well as restaurant options for lunch in Blarney. Bring a deck of cards for the train and a portable charger as you’ll be taking a ton of pictures. One train had USB charging ports and the other needed a converter. And dress in layers as the day started off pretty cold but ended up being so nice by the afternoon. 10/10 would recommend this as a must for your agenda!!
