Overview

This tour of Vietnam’s DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) takes you from Hue to the 17th parallel with a knowledgeable guide. Stop at Dong Ha, the former headquarters of the US Marines. It was used during the Vietnam (American) War against the North Vietnamese army, which breached the Geneva Agreement when it constructed the Ho Chi Minh Trail that allowed for the transport of troops and supplies.   • Vinh Moc Tunnel

    Quang Tri which was the province capital of that area, is located in the Central Region of Vietnam, near the crossways between North and South Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand. The province preserves many remains from the anti-American resistance war such as the ancient citadel of Quang Tri, Khe Sanh Combat Base, Truong Son National Cemetery, Truong Son trail, Vinh Moc Tunnels, Hien Luong Bridge and Ben Hai River. Vinh Moc Tunnel complex. The tunnels were dug and used as shelters by local village families during the American Vietnam War to escape all the continious bombings.

  • Khe Sanh Combat Base

    Khe Sanh Combat Base was never overrun, but saw the bloodiest battle of the war. About 500 Americans, 10,000 North Vietnamese troops and uncounted civilian bystanders died around this remote highland base. It’s eerily peaceful today, but in 1968 the hillsides trembled with the impact of 1000kg bombs, white phosphorus shells, napalm, mortars and endless artillery rounds, as desperate American forces sought to repel the NVA.

Excellent Tour!

Linh (guide) and Tang (driver) were excellent, Linh speaks excellent English and is very knowledgeable about the areas we visited. He paced the trip really well and we had a fantastic stop for lunch. The tunnels were particularly interesting and learning about the history behind them was very informative.

Great day learning more about the Vietnam war

Great day out exploring about the Vietnam War. Our driver picked us up at 8 am to visit the Long Hưng Church- Quang tri citadel - Khe sanh combat base- Hien lương bridge/ Ben hai river- Vinh Moc Tunnels. One of the better drivers we have had already in Vietnam (he was not honking all the time and did not do anything too dangerous) and Thach, our guide, was very knowledgeable and could speak English very well. We got back in our hotel around 7 pm, so it was a long day. With more investment of the government, the Khe Sanh combat base could be so much more however. Personal highlight were the Vinh Moc Tunnels. Our guide even bought us some local specialities for lunch and dinner. Highly recommended

DMZ day tour

We had a great DMZ tour with Chuong (Toni) and his driver. We got a lot of informations about the places we visited. It was impressiv but of course a sad history behind all this. 2 days before it was my partners birthday. We got a nice cake from the company. Thank you very much.

Day trip to Kha Sanh fron Hoi An

Very interesting day. Guide and driver excellent. Long day, the trip started in Hoi An but well worth it. We were looked after throughout the day.

Another amazing day with guide Linh and driver Duc . We saw places we have only read about and saw on TV . To experience these places in person and to hear the history was a sufficient eye opener . Lumch was delicious also . Thank you Sky for arranging another perfect tour . Looking forward to our next in Hoi An .
