Alessandro, greeted us with a smile and introduced himself. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and spoke perfect English, making our experience even more enjoyable. As we boarded a luxury water taxi, we were immediately taken in by the breathtaking views of Venice's majestic canals. The water taxi took us to the heart of Venice, where we began our walking tour of this amazing city. Tips: Book ahead to ensure availability, especially during peak season. Wear comfortable shoes, as the walking tour can be challenging. Don't forget to bring sunscreen and a hat. Consider packing a light jacket, as the wind off the water can be cool. Enjoy the local cuisine and wine; you won't be disappointed.

The drive from Trieste to Venice took about an hour and a half, but Francesca kept us entertained with stories about the history and culture of the region. It's a bit of a journey, but it's well worth it to experience the beauty and magic of this incredible city.
