After pickup in Athens, head to Delphi to admire the monuments of ancient Greece from the comfort of a minibus. See the Omphalos, considered by the ancient Greeks to be the center of the world. Explore the ancient theater, the hippodrome, the stadium, and the Tholos. Connect with the ancient world on this private full-day tour. In a luxury limousine, van, or car your private driver will take you to one of the most important cities of the ancient world. Admire the magnificent monuments of Delphi up close and then return to your initial pickup point in Athens.

The sanctuary of Athena "Pronaia" (also spelled Pronaea, i.e., the one before the temple), was the first one met by the visitor who came to Delphi on foot from the eastern road, hence its name. Excavations have proved that at this spot lay an older cult site, possibly dedicated to Gaia (i.e., the Earth). Most of the Mycenaean figurines exhibited in the Delphi Archaeological Museum, including the notable seated figure on a tripod, were discovered here, and it has been suggested that they were ex-votos.

Alongside Delphi, you’ll enjoy a stop in the picturesque town of Arachova. The town is known for its handmade crafts and traditional Greek architecture. Stop here for lunch, a quick coffee, and a bit of shopping.

Our transport to Delphi was comfortable and went smoothly. Our guide Costas was knowledgeable and friendly, and went out of his way to make sure we had a positive experience. It was nice to be able to walk around the sites at our own pace without being rushed or limited by a large tour group. Since we were on our own at the sites, we brought our own guidebook, which worked well for us. If you're looking for a guided tour, though, I would probably choose something different.

Very nice way, with clear explications and good ambient. We stay all they long, with time enough to do the visit, dinner and bus stops for coffee.
