Overview

Depart from Athens for Delphi by private luxury car or mini van and enjoy a scenic ride. En route, see Levadia and Arachova, towns known for their “souvlaki” and colored carpets respectively. Once in Delphi, head to the UNESCO-listed mountainside archaeological site, one of Greece’s most significant. Amazing tours with guides through Crispy Locals

Took tour separate tours with Crispy Locals on my trip from the USA to Athens in May 2024. I took full day tours to Delphi and Meteora. The convenience of having a local guide who also picked me up and dropped me off at my hotel at the end of the day was phenomenal. I traveled to Athens as a single female and loved my time on both tours with two different guides. The drive time went fast because the guides (especially Harry!!) taught me so much about Greece, beyond just the ancient history, but also about the Greek people. Those conversations were so valuable to me, as a traveler wanting to know more about their country. The guides aren’t allowed to go into the historical sites with you, but they tell you everything about the site before you get there and answer any questions you have on the way back to the hotel. I absolutely recommend booking a tour or two through Crispy Locals if you are ever in Greece!

Fantastic Day trip to Delphi

We LOVED our day trip to Delphi with Giogos. He was wonderful. He had so much knowledge about the area and was able to answer all our questions. The restaurant he chose for lunch was terrific and we enjoyed the views from there. The drive was so comfortable and it was so sweet of him to give us the treats. We will recommend your travel company to all our friends. 5/5 stars!

A Perfect Day Trip to Delphi and Back

My husband and I had such a lovely time with Giorgos! He was an excellent driver and had answers to all our curious questions. Driving 3 hours each way to Delphi is a lot of time to spend in a car with someone, so he’s a true pro at good conversation. If you’re not the chatting type he doesn’t mind either, happy to just drive you out there and give you advice on seeing the site and the museum if that’s all you’re looking for. Delphi was of course breath-taking, and we were proud we made it all the way up to the stadium! A bucket list site for sure. On the way back, the restaurant Giorgos stopped at for lunch had a gorgeous view and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend this experience!

Great trip

George was great best driver to date He was fun, provided lots of information, great with our group of 6 woman. Provided bathroom breaks as the ride from Athens was 3 hours each way. Hopefully you will get George Hantzos are your trip.
