The Delos trip was absolutely great. Nice weather and a very good guide. The tour was not very crowded and we were then only boat visiting at the time. I had booked the ticket through Tripadvisor and when checking in at Mykonos they could not find the booking eventhough I had the tickets with me. In addition I paid a lot more through Tripadvisor than the a actual price which was 60 Euro pr pers. I paid 20% more than I should have done. I will never buy tickets through Tripadvisor again

Our tour guide brought this place to life… Amazing history, relics in a beautiful island setting. How fortunate we are to still have these places in our world.

What a great day seeing 3000 year old ruins! Tour guide was full of important information! We wore flip flops which weren’t the best choice if you want to climb to the top of the mountain! We made it (it’s beautiful you must go!), but sneakers would have been better. Ferry ride very choppy because of wind so take Dramamine if you get sea sick. A very enjoyable day!

We took a half day guided tour of Delos. There are many options to sail by the island and look at the ruins from the boat. You can also take the ferry from Old Port to Delos and buy an entrance to the ruins and wander on your own. But you don’t see or learn much from the boat and there is very little signage on the island so you don’t learn much about the history of the island and the role it played in the ancient Greek economy. Our guide was an archeologist and architect. We had little ear pieces so that we could space out a bit and still hear her. The history and story of the island was fascinating. The of the villas and mosaics were really neat - the deep cisterns, the fish-monger and the old marble display table and olive oil presses brought it all to life - and of course the lions of Narcissus. At one time this was the financial capital of the ancient world and a bustling city. Did not have time to climb up the hill to see the Temple of Apollo or the Temple of Hera which was a little disappointing. The cats wandering about were fun - super friendly - one practically climbed into someone bag. We took the 1700-2000 tour - beat the heat and then popped into town for dinner.

Go to Delos!!!! We bought the tickets the same day you can also book them on internet I think they cost max 25 euro not more. The ferry brings you directly on the island. I suggest to ask for a private guide out guide Antonio if I remember correctly was literally amazing. Keep in mind that are no shops so bring something to eat and a few bottle of fresh drinks. Comfy outfit and you will have a great day
