Rio Celeste

Rio Celeste Waterfall: Río Celeste From San José: The waterfall, which has an approximate height of 30 meters by 8 meters wide, has become the main attraction due to its bluish color, we can see it from a beautiful strategically located viewpoint. The blue Lagoon: Small lagoon of intense color, the indigenous people of the area believed that it was the lagoon of the Gods due to its intense blue color, currently it has a depth of 4 to 5 meters in the shallowest points. Boils or gurgles: They are fissures and cracks through which, at high temperature, gases from the volcanic activity in the place escape and can be seen up close. The Dyeing Room: Point where the phenomenon that gives the river its blue color begins. From many other sectors you can see the turquoise color of the water, but this is the only place where you can see the change in tone.

After our tour in the national park, we go to the family restaurant that will give us delicious typical food, all handmade and natural from the area. At the end of our delicious lunch we will enjoy a short walk to reach the private property where we can take a bath in the celeste river, it is the same river that crosses through the national park but outside the park limits. The water is safe for bathing and contains rejuvenating properties, as well as many benefits for the skin and especially for people with asthma.
