The Pinot Noir expresses itself differently depending on the soils from which it is grown but also depending on the climate and temperature. Discover how these factors influence the wines produced from our vineyard. Taste three organic wines of our 2020 vintage coming from neighboring plots, and continue by comparing three different vintages of our most reputable cuvée, the Clos Marey-Monge Monopole.

Discover the effect of the vintage and terroir on our Clos Marey-Monge wines. Compare the different expressions of the Pinot Noir produced by Château de Pommard. During this Experience, you will discover: -The Pinot Noir, Clos Marey-Monge’s iconic grape variety -Taste the unique identity of each plot of the Clos Marey-Monge -Understand biodynamic winemaking techniques and their effects on wine’s taste -Discover the Burgundian concept of “Terroir” and " Climat" Taste the Clos Marey-Monge Wines: -Taste 6 wines, Château de Pommard Clos Marey-Monge -Learn about the vintage effect on wines, particularly how the weather each year lends a unique character to each cuvée (Please note that our cellars can't be visited due to renovation.)

A nice gem in Burgundy.

Now owned by an American, takes on some of the Napa style for joining their club and achieving vip status for free shipping to the US and access to bottles not available for sale. Priced on the higher end but overall a good product with a beautiful venue. Renovations under way for more space in 2024.

Outstanding tasting experience

Hands down the absolute best tasting experience we have had in any country (US, New Zealand, South Africa). There were four of us and this is the only tasting we’ve ever done at which we have enjoyed every single wine. (Two chardonnay, three Pinot noir.) Julie was exceptionally informative, friendly, patient and interesting. And she nailed the wine selections based on our very sketchy — and disparate — information about style and preferences. We also were comfortable with the COVID precautions (and we are quite careful). Our family was the only group in the tasting room, which the receptionist personally verified before booking the tasting. Julie wore her own mask the whole time and we removed ours only while sipping, and then at about a 10-foot distance. That safety allowed us to thoroughly enjoy the experience. We left with two spectacular bottles of wine to enjoy while celebrating our anniversary and time with close family.

Without making a booking we were welcome to do a tasting at Château de Pommard. We got a tour from the lovely Lea. She spoke with a lot of passion and gave us a great explanation about the different wines. In one word: beautiful. I would highly recommend doing a tasting here!
