Be seduced by one of the most suggestive and renowned places in the world, set out to discover the breathtaking Cinque Terre in the company of our expert tour leader! Trains are undoubtedly the ideal means of transportation to explore the area: in just 15 minutes, passing through the sheer heights of the Ligurian Sea, you will reach Vernazza, one of the most colorful villages in the area. Enjoy some free time in this picturesque village. The second stop will be Monterosso, the largest of the Cinque Terre villages, which also owns a stunning beach characterized by fine white sand and a clear and transparent sea. Here we have reserved a surprise: we will take you to taste the delicious limoncino in a traditional shop! After having some free time in Monterosso, take the train to Riomaggiore, the last stop before coming back to La Spezia. This small village, like the other four, offers breathtaking views of the coast.

My guide - unfortunately cannot remember her name, was most informative about where to be at what time and how the train system worked. She was also informative about what to see and the best advantage points to capture photos etc.

Lovely day, beautiful train ride. 3 small villages, all gorgeous views and fabulous picture taking opportunities. Be prepared for lots of climbing if you want to see anything, but very much worth it.

Cinque Terre by Train

The tour by train was a perfect way for the first visit to Cinque Terre. The trains are very comfortable. Lisa was a great guide. Walking the streets of the villages you visit gives you the feel of the places. It should be suplemented with a boat tour for a complete experience. If you have a choice, go during the week when less people visit.
