Overview

This chef-guided market tour takes a journey through Pacific Northwest culture by tasting Seattle’s best artisan vendors in the famous Pike Place Market. Enjoy diverse tastings at 9 different locations— and food options like chocolate covered cherries, chowder, and much more. All groups are kept to 12 guests to ensure easier navigation of the market, more tastings, and a better platform to ask questions and interact with the group. Leave with a 10% discount card to shop and explore after the tour. *Note that tours stops may adjust depending on time of year and guide. This is a walking tour that does require a moderate amount of physical fitness due to distance, small hills, stairs and cobblestone terrain. This is a market tour that includes walking/standing and not a restaurant tour with a variety of food alternatives and sitting opportunities.

Meeting points

Meet your chef outside of Simply Seattle located at 1600 First Ave (the corner of 1st Ave and Pine St). Please arrive 5 minutes early. We can't catch you up after the tour has left. Summer is busy and there are several events daily making traffic & parking challenging. Please plan accordingly!

  • Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
  • Meeting Location: is 1600 First Ave outside of Simply Seattle. We meet on the street. Chef will be wearing a chef coat
  • Gratuities (optional) are not included in the price
  • Please arrive 10 minutes early. Once the tour leaves the starting point we cannot catch you up as it is a moving tour and guides choose their own routes.
  • Eat Seattle is permitted and licensed by the Pike Place Market PDA to operate tours in the Pike Place Historical District. The PDA requires any business or person conducting tours within it’s properties and in the public areas of the historical district to be pre-approved and to have a license for this activity.
  • There is a paid parking garage located at 1531 Western Ave. If you require parking, leave lots of extra time. The lot could be closed due to over capacity in the Summer. We don't recommend driving for this reason..
  • In the event of a non-appearance for any reason, we regret to inform you that rescheduling or refunding will not be feasible.

It was an excellent tour with Red-Hair-Chef Noah. Even we walked quite a bit, each shop we stopped, Noah or the shop owner/person offered an insight into their products that we wouldn’t have known if not for the tour. I am especially impressed with Truffle Queen!! Thank you, Chef Noah! Enjoy new parenthood!!

Chef Noah was the best part of this tour- fun, knowledgeable and entertaining. We have been on many food tours and my only advice is to not expect to be stuffed- we actually went out to eat immediately afterward. The good news is, you will know where to go and have access to a ton of discounts for being part of the tour.

여러분, 시애틀 파머스 마켓에 그냥 구경하는 것도 재밌지만, 음식을 좀 만들어 본 분에게 시애틀의 역사와 파머스 마켓의 역사를 같이 들어보는 것도 매우 흥미롭다. 그리고 소개해준 곳들이 저마다 다른 음식들이라, 전혀 지루할 새 없었고 신기했다. 혼자 마켓에 구경가는게 조금 부담스러웠는데, 이런 투어를 통해서도 여러 상점들을 구경 할 수 있어서 정말 도움이 많이 됬다. 끝에는 배가 불러서 점심을 먹지 않았다!! 이런 분들에게 추천합니다. 1. 파머스 마켓의 숨겨진 스토리를 알고 싶은 분. 2. 점심 대체로 여러가지 무엇인가를 먹고 싶은 분. Everyone, it's fun to just look around Seattle Farmers Market, but it's also very interesting to hear Seattle's history and Farmers Market's history from anyone who's made some food. And the places I introduced were different foods, so there was no time to be bored at all and it was amazing. It was a little burdensome to go to the market alone, but it was very helpful to be able to see various stores through these tours. I didn't have lunch because I was full at the end!! I recommend it to these people. 1. Anyone who wants to know the hidden story of Farmers Market. 2. Someone who wants to eat something for lunch.
