We enjoyed our trip very much, starting with a beautiful sunrise at Bukit Setumbu, breakfast with Luwak coffee in a local café complete with civet cats that you can selfie with! Borobudur is breathtaking! Luckily, we were able to get to the top level which was closed earlier this year. In the afternoon, we got lazy but Ardi made sure we got a vantage close up view of Prambanan without suffering the sweltering heat!
Ardi is well spoken, with good English and warm, friendly personality. He has extensive knowledge of the sights, culture and history of Yogyakarta. As a professional, he is always punctual, neat and very accomodating. You can customise your own itinerary and trust that Ardi will provide very good advice. When we asked about the unique scaly fruit known as Salak, he drove us to the farm which has its own humble roadside stall, where the fruits are fresher and much cheaper than at supermarkets. When we asked for local grilled fish, he obliged and brought us for a good lunch. He makes great suggestions, leveraging his experience but is never pushy. His information is very up-to-date which is important with changing regulations. We recommend Ardi highly!
