These three towering sandstone peaks, known as Meehni, Wimlah, and Gunnedoo, are a prominent and iconic symbol of the Blue Mountains and Indigenous Australian legend. The formation is named after an Aboriginal Dreamtime story that tells the tale of three sisters from the Katoomba tribe who were turned into stone by a sorcerer for their protection, but he tragically perished before he could reverse the spell.
