We had a great time, even though I know the city fairly well. It was a great way to get around and see and learn about different sites, on a cold day when we weren't in our best shape for walking around. I wish I had done this sooner on previous visits. We were lucky to have the BEST tour guide ever. Candace was accommodating, witty, and friendly. She seemed to really enjoy her job and that made it a much more pleasant experience. After hopping off for a bit, we caught another bus in the late afternoon, and unfortunately, our driver, Desmond, was awful. He said nothing as we entered - did not narrate the tour or even give us headphones and explain that there was narration. So anyone that was joining the tour for their first time would have no idea what to do. He also was a terrible driver. He went through 5 RED LIGHTS, including making a left turn on one of them. We were sitting on the top deck front row, so there was no denying what we saw. It was scary for those of us sitting there and apparently a "rough ride" for folks sitting down below. You could hear people's belongings dropping when he took a turn too fast or slammed on the brakes.
But I'd recommend doing this again. I wish that the route map included more details about museums, dining and other things to do at various stops. We didn't know that the Museum of Contemporary Art was just steps away from one stop since it wasn't on the bus map or app. But I'd have loved to have gone there. Candance was great at pointing out how to get to things we wanted to see, but if we didn't know to ask, we would have missed out. If the APP had an interactive feature where you could plug in the thing you wanted to visit and it told you which STOP to use for that....that would be a great addition.
