Pass through the south gate to the magnificent 250-acre complex of the Forbidden City.
The Forbidden City was the imperial palace from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is located in the middle of Beijing, and now houses the Palace Museum. For almost 500 years, it served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government.

An old Chinese saying tells the crucial position of Badaling: if one man guards the pass, ten thousand cannot get through.Ā The highest point of Badaling Great Wall is Beibalou, approximately 1,015 m above sea level. Upon arrival, you will take the cable car up to the highest point where you can overlook the entire area and take some nice photos. You willĀ spend 2 hours hiking on the Wall. After the tour finished,Ā you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing.
