The hike is a bit strenuous. The views are great. The guides were friendly. Overall, a wholesome experience of La Fortuna.

Great guides Franklin and Max for a great comprehensive experience

Lots of great experiences in this tour and they take you to places with expert guides. Our guides Franklin and Max were excellent, and very knowledgeable about the area as well as the science (ecobiology and geology) of the area. The bus driver was a safe driver and picked us up at our La Fortuna Airbnb. First, you visit the Maleku tribe, where they have a beautiful traditional building, as well as beautiful artwork for sale. Next, they take you to La Fortuna waterfall to view and then to swim if you’d like to. Afterwards, there was a snack of pineapple provided and then a ride back to a restaurant for a Costa Rican lunch. The afternoon consists of a guided hike to view Arenal volcano. This part is the a lot of hiking. There is then a coffee break with delicious coffee and small cookies. Finally, go to a hot spring (Termalitas del Arenal) which is a bit crowded with a for about 1 hour with a rum and soda mixed drink served by the guide. This is not as nice of a hot spring experience as Ecotermales but pretty cool that it is included in the tour. We felt that this tour was well worth it. You will experience lots in just one day, and you will learn Al along the way, including great life lessons if you have Franklin as your guide. Both Franklin and Max are exceptionally knowledgeable and good at explaining the trees, plants, and animals of the area. They take care of you well with food and drink along the way. Bring a water bottle.

Very nice tour friendly guides beautiful water fall somewhat strenuous hike lots of stairs. Good meal for lunch and nice easy hike to volcano lava field and relaxing hot spring soak to finish off the day.

So worth the money. This was our first tour we did when we arrived. It was a full day of so much fun packed in. From the hikes, to the waterfall, to the tribe, including so much culture and wildlife. The best part… our tour guides! Diego and Franky were amazing. So much knowledge about their country and they made sure we were all safe and having a great time the whole way through! 10/10!

The full day tour was AMAZING! Schedule was great too. Starting with the volcano hike, then lunch, then waterfall and hot springs. Expect to walk/ hike about 13 miles. Many breaks though! Melony was our guide and was awesome.
