Overview

Travel along one of the world’s most isolated roads from Fairbanks to the Arctic Circle on this memorable 12 to 14-hour tour through the Alaskan wilderness. In the company of an experienced guide with a passion for Alaska, journey up the Dalton Highway, passing by the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, crossing the Yukon River, and reaching the edge of the Arctic Circle. On the drive back, watch for the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis). This tour is limited to 9 guests to ensure that you enjoy a small-group experience in one of our climate-controlled vans. Please note that we cannot guarantee the Northern Lights sightings and we can't guarantee last minute bookings. We do encourage each guest to rotate seats at least a few times on this tour.

Pickups commence from 2:00 PM. We will contact you the day before your tour with your exact pickup time. We can only pick up from hotels within the Fairbanks or North Pole city limits. We do not pick up from the airport. If you are staying at an Air BnB, please contact ... the office on 907 712 4529 (landline so no texts please) for the closest pick up location. Please dress appropriately. The temperatures can reach extreme conditions during the winter month and we recommend to dress in layers.
Please note that the Northern Lights are a natural occurrence and therefore cannot be guaranteed! (no refund possible)
The weather conditions are in no way predictable in our area and we will not offer a refund in case of too many clouds.
Exact schedule and itinerary of stops are subject to change based on daily conditions and Northern Lights activity on the day of your tour.
There is a possibility of cancellation due to dangerous weather and/or road conditions. If this occurs, an alternative date or full refund will be offered.
Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required. We are not able to provide gluten free or vegan options as there is limited availability of these items in Alaska.
Type of transportation: climate controlled van
The group size is limited to 8 people for each passenger van.
Customers are strongly encouraged to rotate seats at least a few times on the tour to give each person the opportunity of having a different view.

Jessica was exceptional! Very kind, knowledgeable, caring. Although, we did not get to see the northern lights, the trip was so worth it. The way to the Artic Circle through the Dalton Hwy was one of a kind experience!

Greg was a fantastic tour guide. He was kind, knowledgeable about everything Alaska and beyond. He thought of everything and made our trip exceedingly enjoyable. (Not to mention, he brought us extra blankets and hand warmers. It was COLD). And we got to see the Aurora. Would highly recommend.

The 1st time that I travel to Arctic Circle with a small group (FRIENDS) , Guide this trip his name is "EVan" he so nice and friendly... in the trip Evan let's us know to understand and explain for the places are popular that we are visited ✨️ by the way, we are rest for eat to dinner at The Yukon River Camp Lodge he prepared for yummy sandwiches for us .love its... between along the road we visited the famous highway and take a picture at "Pipeline ", "Dalton Highway " Sign , Yukon River and the last place make me so excited it the "Arctic Circle " Sign . YAYYYY!! I'm so proud for myself that's I think 16 hours " we are here" We across the Arctic Circle in the temperature -37°C super cold..but we are so happy... on the road to back home we met the Northern Lights Evan stopped the Van and free time to us to take a picture on the top of the road between the highest mountain...the Northern Lights so beautiful that I ever had to see .. Evan take the van to bring us at the hotel that Safe ..I LOVE ❤️ this Trip and I love ❤️ "TripAdvisor "

Legendary Tour Guide - Greg Robbe

My family and I had Greg Robbe as our guide to the Arctic Circle in search of Northern Lights. Nowadays, the best term to describe Greg is the phrase "built different." This is especially fitting because he used to compete in strength sports - one of the many entertaining stories he told us. In a nutshell, Greg: 1. Has an outstanding wealth of rich knowledge - he is a true polymath. He demonstrated deep knowledge of biology, physics, music, history, policy, and many more subjects. Whatever angle you wish to study Alaska from, Greg has you covered. It's also worth noting that he wrote his Master's Thesis about the very road on which the tour takes place. It's hard to imagine someone better qualified to do this job! 2. Has a natural knack for storytelling - I found his stories easy to follow and consistently interesting. He is animated and engaging throughout. 3. Has seemingly endless endurance - he took us on a 14-hour excursion and showed no clear sign of fatigue or needing a break. He was able to speak for virtually the entire time. I don't understand how this is biologically possible, but he made it look easy. 4. Is impervious to cold - he seemed genuinely comfortable in everyday clothes that did not look like winter gear despite subzero temperatures. 5. Takes great photos - he kindly offered to take photos of me and my family and he took better photos of the Northern Lights than we could. 6. Is kind and attentive - he made sure to address the needs of everyone onboard the bus and our comfort was always his priority. A big thank you to Greg for a great experience!
