Overview

Take in magnificent Mount Vesuvius and the ancient city of Pompeii on a tour along the Amalfi coast. Explore the ruins of Pompeii, see uncovered remains of Roman life from 79 A.D., reach the summit of Vesuvius, and visit a lovely coral and cameo factory. Meet your local guide for the day and board on the coach to depart to Pompeii, passing the beautiful towns along the Amalfi Drive. In Pompeii you'll have the chance to explore one of Europe's most compelling excavation sites. This Roman city was lost for 1700 years,is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you'll have a unique insight into ancient city life. After lunch depart for Mount Vesuvius.where you'll be escorted by a guide to the summit. From here enjoy have views over the southern part of the volcano and, during days with good visibility, the entire gulf of Naples. On the journey back, visit one of the most prestigious cameo and coral factories in the region to see the production of typical Italian carvings.

    Drive up to quote 1000 mt by our coach. Then walk to the summit (20 min approx each way) to enjoy guide lecture by alpine guide of the crater, and look into the crater. The view from the summit is stunning!

Great tour and lunch.

After a slight issue (our fault) the tour company was able to re-schedule us on the same tour for another day. That was really appreciated! We had an amazing tour of Pompeii with our guide followed by a most delicious lunch and then onto Mount Vesuvius for a great hike to the summit. Highly recommend this tour.

A very good tour

The tour of Pompeii and Vesuvius was generally excellent. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Although the weather wasn't ideal to start with, the visit to Pompeii was excellent & informative. After a short lunch break it was back on the coach(very professional driver) for the drive to Vesuvius visitor point. We had just enough time to make the fairly long walk(climb) up to see the Volcano from the best vantage point. The journey back to our starting point completed a memorable day.

Really excellent tour. Alessandra was an absolutely brilliant tour guide and kept us going through the whole trip in spite of the heat. She was engaging and knew a lot.

Alessandra was an excellent guide. She was extremely knowledgeable beyond the physical site and history of Pompeii (which was wonderful and informative), weaving in information about the local flora, the root of language and her own personal family history into the tour.
