Overview
A day trip to Al Ain, the second largest city of Abu Dhabi, which is known as the garden city due to the presence of green nature in the city. The oasis is spread over an incredible 1,200 hectares (3,000 acres) and containing more than 147000 date palms. Rising 1,400 meters up over the southern suburbs of Al Ain, Jebel Hafeet mountain offers epic views over largely flat Abu Dhabi and neighboring Oman. Al Ain, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is an inland oasis city on the eastern border with Oman. It’s known as the Garden City for its palm groves and natural springs. Bronze Age remains include tombs on the towering Jebel Hafeet, a mountain to the south, and in Al Hili Archaeological Park, to the north. The central Al Ain National Museum displays artifacts from these sites.

The museum is based in the palace of the former UAE President, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan (1918–2004), and his family.It was originally built in 1937 on the western side of the Al Ain Oasis, the largest oasis in Al Ain. Sheikh Zayed lived here until 1966. It was made into a museum in 1998.

Jabal Hafeet is a mountain in the region of Tawam, on the border of the United Arab Emirates and Oman, which may be considered an outlier of Al Hajar Mountains in Eastern Arabia. Due to its proximity to the main Hajar range, the mountain may be considered as being part of the Hajar range, sensu lato.

The old fort, oasis and mountain top were amazing. Exploring the heritage of Arabic culture. Definitely a trip worth experiencing.

Outstanding trip! The tour guide was very personable and did a great job showing all the different places in Al Ain. Very relaxing and comfortable travel. I highly recommend this!

We visited the city of Al Ain to visit the palace for a tour and walked through part of the oasis and that was interesting on how a whole city developed around it. I could not believe a whole spring did all of this. The sea of palm trees alone created a forest of trees that was rather thick and you really had to walk down the guided path.

Excellent tour to Al Ain area. Munir was an excellent and safe driver. As there were only two of use on the tour we could not have the lunch and camel market visit. Shame to miss these but was made up by having our own personal guide

My wife and I drove from Dubai to Al Ain in early January 2023. We were keen to visit the oasis which is a UNESCO Heritage Site.
We were not disappointed at all when we entered the site. It is fairly large and involves a good amount of walking. But the winter made the stroll pleasant. It was inspiring to see the watering system which was built several centuries back. The place abounds with not only date trees but surprisingly some plantain and other fruit trees as well. The directions all through this is oasis (town) were very helpful. There are battery operated cars to take you around for a reasonable fee.
This place was worth the drive from Dubai !
